IMPROVEMENT IN BLACKI'NG-BOX HOLDERS.
Specification forming part of Letters Patent No. 130 119, dated August 13,1872.
Specification describing a new and Improved Blacking-Box Holder, invented by ROBERT R. FORREST, of Washington, in the county of \Vashington and State of Pennsyl- Vania.
This invention relates to a new and useful improvement in mode of holding blackingboxes during the process of blacki'ng boots and shoes and it consists in a spring handle or holder, constructed of band-iron of any shape, or round wire, or of wood, applied as hereinafter more fully described.
In the drawing, Figure 1 represents the bottom of a blacking-box with my improved spring-handle applied. Fig. 2 is a sectional view looking from the line a; :20 of Fig. 1.

A is the blacking-box. B is the bottom of the box. 0 is the spring-handle. This springhandle may be made of round, fiat, or any so that when the legs of the handle are spread,
