IMPROVEMENT N BROOM-HANGERS.-
S ecification forming part of Letters Patent No. 143,063, dated September 23,1873; application filed July 26, 1873.
To all whom it may concern:
Be it known that I, MARY A. CLIFFORD, of the city of Boston, county of Suffolk and State of Massachusetts, have invented a new and 'nseful Broom-Hanger; and I do hereby declare that the following is a full, clear, and exact description of the same, reference being had to the accompanying drawing, formin g a part of this specification, in which- Figure I is a side elevation of my improved hanger for brooms'and a portion of a broomhandle. Fig. 2 is a top view of the hanger.
A represents a metallic spring-loop, and B an open spring-band, the two being connected by eyes C. This band is made large enough to receive the small end of a handle, E, so as to hold it by friction. The loop A is hung upon a nail, D, and thus suspends the broom.
I claim as new, and desire to secure by Letters Patent, is
