No Drawing.
To all whom, it may concern:
Be it known that I, HERMAN J. Amman, a citizen of the United States, residing at Cleveland, in the county of Cuyahoga and State of Ohio, have invented certain new and useful Improvements in Detergent Compounds for Cleaning Window-Shades, &c., of which the following is a specification.
This invention relates to detergent compounds, and especially those particularly adapted for cleaning window shades and similar fabric, and has for its object to provide an improved compound of this kind which will remove dirt from shades or the like without leaving marks on the articles.
An advantage of the compound is that it has the form of a powder, and can be applied dry, and by the use of a brush or cloth it may be rubbed over the surface of the shade or fabric and will pick up and take off the dirt thereon.
. The compound comprises a mixture of the following ingredients: powered pumice;
soda ash; silex (or oxid of silica) and fullers earth. These ingredients are preferably combined in the following proportions: one-third part of pumice; one-third soda ash; one-sixth silex; and one-sixth fullers" Speei fication of Letters Patent. Patented Sept 161% 1918,
Application filed May 13, 1918. Serial No. 234,254.
gether they form a powder, and in the use of the same it is applied to the surface. of
