IMPROVEMENT lN REVOLVING TABLES.
Specification forming part of Letters Patent No. 127,299, dated May 28, 1872.
To all whom t may concern:
Beit known that we, JOHN H. BEEM and AL- BAH O. MORGAN, of Roseville, in the county of Muskingum and in the State of Ohio, have invented certain new and useful Improvements in Revolving Tables; and do hereby declare that the following is a full, clear, and exact description thereof, reference being had to the accompanying drawing and to the letters of reference marked thereon making a part of this specification.
The nature of our invention consists in improvements on arevolvin g table-waiter, as will be hereinafter more fully set forth.
In order to enable others skilled in the art to which our invention appertains to make and use the same, we will now proceed to describe 4its construction and operation, referring to the annexed drawing, in which- Figure 1 is a plan view, and Fig. 2, a central vertical section of a table with our revolving waiter attachedthereto.
A represents an upright post or standard, which may be inserted in and firmly secured to the center of a table, B, or may be provided with a suitable foot to rest upon the table. At the upper end of this post or standard is formed a tenon, a, which fits in a corresponding recess in the under side of a hub, C. From this hub extend, at regular intervals, a series of arms, D D, which are curved downward and outward, and provided with suitable horizontal offsets b b, upon which are laid circular strips E E, forming shelves, as shown.
