IMPROVEMENT IN BABV-SWINGS.
Specification forming part of Letters Patent No. 127,134, dated May 21, 1872.
l The nature of this invention consists of a combined portable baby swing and jumper, constructed as hereinafter described.
To enable others skilled in the art to make and use our invention, we will proceed to describe it.
Figure 1 is a perspective view.
A A A A is the frame of the machine, substantially constructed of wood to resist the vibration of the operating parts, and connected by hinges'to make it folding. B is the oscillating cross-bar, through which the wires 0 G O are passed, and to which the bodyD is suspended, and also to which the crank E is fastened. F is the treadle attached to the bottom of upright A. G is the wire connecting treadle and crank, by which motion is. given tothe swing. D is the body, (with a movable seat,) having a hole to admit of a child being placed therein, and connected to wires 0 O O by helical springs to give perpendicular motion as a jumper.
What we claim is- The baby swing and jumper, as described and set forth, in combination with the portable folding frame.
