fb all autom it y i cani'. Be it known that l, Rua JE. Borna, a citiaen of the lUnited States, residin at Spokane, in the county of Spokane an State of Washington, have invented certain new and useful improvements in Fluid-Containers, of which the following 1s a specication.

My invention relates to improvements in `Huid containers, embodying certain novel closure in rigid open or outspread position.

A her object resides in providing an important adjunct-1n the nature of a mochdown support or stand-for the receptacle when the closure is in open position..

- Yet another object is the provision of means for the convenient transportation., of the device, whether empty or nlled, within a suitable grip, Satchel or case, which latter may also be utilized to carry the bag supporting elents.

'llhe various uses, the several features, and the details of construction, arrangement and combination of parts which comprise my complete device, will be hereinafter fully set forth in connection with the accompanying drawings, in which-- j Figure l is a side elevation of the container proper shown disposed within a grip or Satchel, the side of the latter being broken away for that purpose.

o Referring more specically tothe drawings, 1 n which like reference characters indicate llke parts in the several views, the 4numeral l designates the duid container asa whole which is preferably manufactured of rubber, rubber cloth, or other pliable water` yielding substance which, when the jaws are pressed together, engages the gasket 5 and serve s to form a water-tight closure.

Companion spring-metal reversible clips -9 which are of duplex construction or form are pivotally mounted, one upon the outer face of each jaw near the relatively opposite ends thereof, and, as clearly illustrated, are adapted to lock the jaws in closed position and to press the bead 7 into hrm engagement with the gasket of the opposed closure member.

'lo prevent collapse of Athis rim the duplex spring clips 9 are swung into a reverse position upon their pivots from that shown when the same are utilized to lock the jaws together, thereby bridging the contiguous ends of the jaws and engaging the faces of the adjacent jaws. lt will thus be seen that by my device the bag can be readily and conveniently transformed into a vsubstantial upright open mouthed container, and that when not in service is adapted to be folded and rolled into a compact package.

The bag lmay have a vent and cap 16 for draining oli' the liquid and for attaching a syringe tube, while snap-knobs 17 andahandle 18 may also be provided. In Fig. 4 ,the closure is shown in a position which renders the container suitable for use as a commode.

From the foregoing description and explanation it is believed' that the construction, utility and advantages of my device will be clearly manifest; and while I have disclosed only one embodiment thereof, it is to be understood that I hereby expressly reserve the right to modify the same in any particular without departing from the spirit of my invention, as long as,V in so doing, I remaln within the scope of my invention as .defined in and by the appended claims.
