To all whom it may concern Be it known that I, MAGNUS BOODE, a subject of the King of Great Britain, residing at Lacombe, in the Province of Alberta and Dominion of Canada, have invented certain new and useful Improvements in Feed-Grinding Machines, of which the following is a specification.
My invention relates to improvements'in feed grinding machines.
The objects of the present invention are to provide a machine of the character described in which the grinding may be effected with the minimum motive power, and with more advantageous results.
To the accomplishment of the recited ob jects, and others coordinate therewith, the preferred embodiment of my invention resides in that arrangement of parts shown in the accompanying drawings, hereinafter described, and embraced within the scope of the appended claim.

Referring more particularly to the drawings for a detail description of my invention, a designates the hopper having a throat 6 adapted to be closed by the slide valve c. It should be understood that in broader aspects my invention comprehends the employment not only of the various means described, but of similar means for performing the recited functions. It is desired to reserve the right to efiect such changes and modifications as may be deemed to come fairly within the scope of the appended claim.
What I claim is In a feed grinding machine, the combination of a support having an opening therein, with a grinding roller journaled on said support within said opening, a feed hopper on said support above said roller, a swinging chute arranged below said hopper and adapted to discharge onto said roller, a bracket secured on said support, a concave shoe pivotally connected at its upper end to the hopper end of said bracket, said shoe supporting said chute, and means for adjusting the lower end of said shoe relative to said grinding roller.
