Description

I. H. SAUERS. REFRIGERAX'IING DEVICE. APPLICATION FILED AUGfS. ISIS.`
mem@ ,Alm 30, 1918.
. following s dll) .To all whom t 'may concern.
Be it known that l, donn llnnnif Simens, a citizen of the United States, residing at Camden, in the county of Camden and State of New Jersey, lieve invented certain new and useful improvements in ltclrigerating Devices, ci' which the following is s speen iication.
This invention relates to rcirigereting devices end has for its object to provide un iceless refrigerator.
Another object of the invention is 'to provide a refrigerator receptnclc having,` Ineens for spraying verter thereon.
Vlith the above end other objects in view, which will if. fully expleined in the pcjliention, i have invented the device illustrated in the accompanying drawings, in Which-- Figure l is e, vertical, sectional vievv of my refrigeretor.,
Fig. 2 is e top plan 'View thereof, and
Fig. is o front elevation thereof.
Like reference characters indicate like parts 'throughout the following speciiication and in the several views in the drawings, in which l indicates my device 'which consists of n casing 2 having an inner esbestos lining.;l 3 Within which is a liquid containing tenl el. Suspended centrally end between 'the inner wells 5 oit the tank 4t a l'ood compartment o, seid walls 5 having their upper edges 8 terminate slightly above the top 7 of the compartment 6.
@oiled through 'the chamber Ll and around the compartment 6 in any suitable manner is e Water pipe 9 having en inlet 10a the upper horizontal portions l0 oi seid pip-e being perforated with very small. holes il whereby Water circulating through said 'pipe sprays through said perforations ll upon the top of the food compartment 6 from whence it iiovv's all around seid receptacle thoroughly cooling the same, the Water then passes ont through the drnin 14.. A ventiletor pipe l5 extends through the chamber 8 end into the food compartment whereby the contents are kept sweet and fresh. i6 is an inlet port for the liquid l2. A drinking Water pipe 17 is also coiled through. the chamber S whereby drinking Water may be kept cool, the pipe connects with the faucet 18. An indicator l.) connects with the inte rior oit the chamber 8 so that the amount of liquid therein may always be seen.
The liquid. 13 forms e non-conductor of Patented hier. lill, delle. semi no. liasse.
heatv and it may be renewed from time l to time es required. Cool Water is lrept tiene ing through the coils 9 and from therei is sprayed upon the Walls of' the compartment 6 keeping the same cool.
Having described my invention, vthat which l claim to be nevv and desire to obtain by Letters Patent is:
1. The described device consisting et en outer and an inner casing between which c liquid container is formed, a compartmentwithin the inner casing and means for .sprayingI liquid thereon.
2. The described device consisting, et en outer and an inner casing beto/'een which a liquid container is formed, a compartment Within'the inner casing' and ineenslltor spray ing liquid thereon, said Ineens cc isting of e coll pipe for conveying seit spraying liquid.
8. A. refrigerator consisting of e. casing, a tank therein 'and a food container suspended in the tank and Waiter pipes coiled around the container, seid pipes having openings arranged to on said container.
4.-. The described device consisting oi1 on outerA and an inner casing` between which s. liquid container is formed, e compartment Within. the inner casing` end. ineens for spraying liquid thereon, seid ineens consisting oi' a coil pipe for conveying` .seid spre ing liquid, said pipes being,` coiled about said inner casing.
lti
Sil
permit Water to drip 5. The described device consisting of an outer casing, a compartment therein and means for sprayh water upon 4said .compartment and e liquid contain er between said `casing and said fompaitment said ineens consisting of e perforated pipe coiled above said compartment end n chamber formed between said conta incr and said co1npertinent in which said coils are located.
6. The described device consisting of an outer casing, e comllartment therein and means for spraying;` water u'oon said compartment, a liquid fontaine; between said casing and said compartment, said. means consisting of :i perforated pipe coiled above seid compartment and a ch: rnber formed between said container and said con'lpartmen? in which seid coils nre located, seid chainber having an outlet.
7. rlhe described device consisting vof an outer casing, a compartment. therein and means for spreying Water upon seid oomparilnent, a liquid container between said .casing and said compartment, said means consisting of a perforated pipe coiled above said compartment, a chamber formed between said container and said compartment in which said coils are located, said chamber having an outlet and a Ventilator extending from the compartment through the walls of said casing. f
The described device consisting of an outer andy an inner casing between which a liquid container is formed, a compartment within the inner casing and means for spraying liquid thereon, said means consisting of a coil pipe for conveying said spraying liquid7 said pipes being coiled about said inner casing and a conductor pipe leading from said inner compartment. Y
'19. The described device consisting of an outer and an inner easing between which a liquid container is formed, a compartment within the inner casing and means for spra)VH ing liquid thereon, said compartment being spaced apart from the walls of said inner casing.
10, The described device consistingof an outer and an inner easing between which a liquid container is formed, a compartment Within the inner casingr and means for spraying liquid thereon, said compartment being spaced apart from the walls 'of said inner casing and a ventilator for said compartment.
In testimony whereof ailix my signature in the presence of two witnesses.
