It is readily apparent that the device may be used wlth any standard form of revolver, the only alteration thereof being the provision of an W hat we claim as new, and desire to 'pro- 7 tect by these Letters Patent, is:

In combination with a revolver or pistol, a sword or cutting blade, having-one end thereof enlarged to surround a portion of said barrel, said enlargement having a circumferential groove carrying a rotatable or circumferentially movable ring, said ring Copies of this patent may be obtained for having a handle or projection to facilitate its movement, a portion of said ring being cut away to allow the passage of revolver rib therethrough, and opening through said revolver rib for engagement with said ring, a spring carrying an enlarged projection being attached to said revolver to co-act with the revolver trigger and trigger guard to prevent accidental discharge of said revolver, substantially as described.
