To all whom it may concern:

Be it known that I, ANTHONY C. FALLAGE, a subject of the King of Italy, residing at Bridgeboro, in the county of Burlington and State of New Jersey, have invented certain new and useful Improvements in Puzzles, of which the following is a specification.

This invention relates to puzzles and more particularly to that type of puzzles which have movable players or parts that are first arranged in a certain position, after which the attempt is made to maneuver them so as to place them in the desired position.

The object of this invention is to provide a puzzle board which will be constructed of a strong material, so that it will not be damaged if it is dropped on the floor.

Another object is to provide a game board, preferably star shaped. which is provided with inverted T-shape slots in its upper surface, and which also has movable players which may be moved from one place to another, until the desired arrangement is had.

Another object is to provide a puzzle which will be of a patriotic nature, which will an ord considerable fun and excitement to persons trying to solve it.

Other objects will appear as the description proceeds.

In carrying out my invention, I employ a suitable board 1, which is preferably star shape and constructed of metal or some hard material. Inverted T-shape channels 2 are formed around the periphery of the star shape body 1, and have cross channels 3 connecting them. Plugs or stops 4 are placed in one side of each of the points 5 of the star shape body 1, at points adjacent the in ner part of said body.

A circular slot or T-shape groove 6 is cut in the center part of the body 1 and connects at point 7 with one of the slots 8. It will be seen that a plug or stop 8 is placed in the circular slot at a point near where it connects with the groove or channel 3.

The playing members Or sliders 9, are

nine in number and are provided with shanks 10 and reduced portions or smaller heads 11, which travel in the inverted T- shape slots or channels 2 and 3. These nine playing members are divided so that there are three red colored members, three white colored members and three blue colored members.

In playing the game or solving the puzzle, the sliders or playing members 9 are posi tioned on the board 1, so that there will be one located at the end of every point, except one, and One located at the five places where the five points converge, also so that no two like colors will be next to each other.

It will be understood that the players may be moved around, and that there is only one correct manner in which to operate the players to form them into the position desired.

The puzzle is to move the players so that there will be formed the colors of the American flag. There are to be three sets of colors, so that there will be'the three sets separately and distinct, and not the three reds, the three whites and the three blues together.

With a little practice and patience this puzzle may be correctly solved, and it will afford much amusement, especially at times when patriotic things are in order. 7

I have described the slots or channels as inverted T-shape, and set in the board. They may be, however, any desired shape and elevated if it is thought best.

It will be understood that I have not limited myself to any one point, and that minor changes in detail may be resorted to, with-- out departing from the spirit of the invention.

Having thus described my invention What I claim as new and desire to secure by Letters Patent of the United States is:

1. A game board, comprising a star-shape member, slots around its periphery, slots connecting said peripheral slots, a circular slot, said circular slot-being connected at a point with said slots connectingthe peripheral slots, and movable players in the slots, as herein before described.

2.
