Be it known that I, G-nonen J. BOLTON, a citizen of the 'United States, residing at Sayre, in the county of Bradford and State of Pennsylvania, have invented certain new and useful Improvements in Game Apparatus, of which the following is aspecification, reference being had to the accompanying drawings.

This invention relatesto certain improve ments in game apparatus and has relation more particularly to adevice of this general character wherein an aerial projectile is employed; and it is an object of the invention to provide a novel and improved device, of this general character which requires a maximum of'skill. l

The invention also has for an object to provide a novel and improved device of this general character including a member mounted for rocking movement and which is provided witha cup or container adapted to receive a projectile and whereby the weight of the projectile when receivedwithin the cup serves to impart rocking movement to the member in order to render visible an identity normally concealed by said rocking member. i

The invention consists in the details of construction-and. in the combination and arrangement of the several parts of my improved game apparatus whereby certain important advantages are attained and the device is rendered simpler, less expensive and otherwise more convenient and advantaeous for use, all as will be hereinafter more -ully set forth.

The novel features of the invention will hereinafter be definitely claimed.

In order that my invention may be the better understood, I will now proceed to describe the same with reference to the accompanying drawings, wherein Figure 1 is a view in perspective of a game apparatus constructed in accordance with an embodiment of my invent on;

Fig. 2 is an enlarged fragmentary vertical section illustrating certain details of the invention as herein embodied; and

Fig. 3 is a view in elevation of a projectile as herein included.

like to afford means whereby the board may be readily supported upon a wall or the like. At predetermined points intermediate their lengths the arms 3 are pivotally engaged with the board 1, said arms being preferably disposed in staggered relation.

Each of the arms 3' is provided at one end with a disk 4. or the like which is adapted v to normally conceal. an identity or valuation 5 marked upon the adjacent face of the board 1. The opposite end portion of the arm is provided with a cup 6 which is adapted to normally underlie the lower end of the vertically disposed tubular member The member 7 is preferably in the form of an inverted truncated cone. The disk .5]: serves to overbalauce the portion of the arm provided with the cup 6 so that said cup 6 is normally urged toward the tubular member 7. The member 7 is so positioned relative to the cup .6 as to normally maintain the arm -Bsubstantially horizontal.

P denotes a projectile preferably of a formation similar to'a cartridge which is adaptcd to be tossed by a player within a tubular member 7. A projectile received by a tubular member 7 will be delivered to a cup positioned therebeneath and the weight of the projectile P serves to over-balance the portion of the arm 3 provided with the disk 4: so that said disk will be elevated to expose the identity or valuation 5 concealed thereby.

The lower marginal portion of the board 1 is provided with a forwardly directed apron A which serves to catch a projectile which may not be tossed within a tubular member 7, and coacting with the ends of said apron A are the supplemental or side aprons A, which are also connected to the ends of the board 1 for a purpose which is believed to be obvious. As herein embodied, the apron A has its end portion secured to the arms 8 pivotally engaged with the lower longitudinal marginal portion of the board 1 at the opposite ends thereof so that when the apparatus is not in use the apron A may be readily folded up out of the way. It is also to be noted that the aprons A and A are formed of flexible material.

- s From the foregoing description, it is thought to be obvious that a game apparatus constructed in'a'ccordance With my invention isof an extremely simple and com 5 'paratively inexpensive nature and is particularlywell;adapted for use by reason of the convenience and 'facility with which it may be assembled, and it will also be obvious that my invention is susceptible of .some change and modification without materiald'eparture from the principles and spirit thereof and for this reason I do not Wish to be understood as limiting myself to the precise'arrangement and formation of the several parts herein shown in carrying out my invention in practice, except as hereinafter claimed.

I claim: 1, A device of the character described comprisingl'anarm mounted for rocking e movement, acup carried by said arm, a'pro jectile adapted to be received within said cap, and atubnlar member positioned above the cup and with Which the cup normally engages.

3 f3.'A'device of the character described comprising a board provided with a plurality of value indicia, arms engaged intermediate their length with the board for rocking movement, a disk carried by one end portion of each of the arms and normally overlying the indicia on the board, and a cup carried by the opposite end portion of the arm.

A device of the character described comprising a board provided with a plurality of valve indicia, arms engaged intermediate their length with the board for rock ing movement, a disk carried by one end portion of each of the arms and normally overlying the indicia on the board, a cup carried by the opposite end portion of the arm, and a tubular member carried by the board above the arm, the cup carried by the arm normally engaging an end of said board.

5. A device of the character described comprising a board provided with a plurality of value indicia, arms engaged intermediate their length with the board for rocking movement, a disk carried by one end portion of each of the arms and normally overlying the indicia on the board, a cup carried by the opposite end portion of the arm, a tuba lar member carried by the board above the arm, the cup carried by the arm normally engaging an end of said board, and a stop carried by the board and coacting with the arm for limiting the movement of the cup away'from the tubular member.
