GAME.
Specification of Letters Patent. P tented- Apr. 19, 1921.-
Application filed Getober 20, 1920. Serial No. 418,196.
To all whom it may concern:
Be it known that we, Trrnonorn Sermon and GEORGE L. SoHRoR, citizens of the United States, residing at Avon", in the county of Livingston, State of New York, have invented a new and useful Game; and we do hereby declare the following to be a full, clear, and exact description of the invention, such as will enable others skilled in the art to which it appertains to makeand use the same.
on the board rolls after the same has been upset by the engagement of the pin of the swinging member so that said board carried member may roll down the inclined surface of the board.
With the above and other objects in view the invention resides in the combination and arrangement of parts as hereinafter set forth, shown in the drawings, described and claimed, it being understood that changes in the precise embodiment of the invention may be made within the scope of what is claimed without departing from the spirit of the invention.
In the drawings v Figure 1 is a front elevation of the device.
Fig. 2 is a side elevation of the device.
Fig. 3 is a plan view.
Referring to the drawings, the numeral 1 designates a rectangular board, the main body of said board having its upper face 2 horizontally disposed, which face merges into forwardly and downwardly inclined surface 3, there being a segmentally shaped recess 4 adjacent the forward end of the board in the bottom of which recess a plurality of numbers'5 are stamped.
Extending upwardly a right angled bracket 6, to the end of the arm 7 of which is connected as at 8 a cord 9, said cord having its lower end connected as at 10 to a weight 11, Extending downfrom the board 1 wardly from the pear shaped weight 11 is apm 12, which pin is adapted to engage a pin 13 extending upwardly from the pear shaped weightl, which has its bottom flattened as at 15 so that it will when placed in the space 16 remain in an upright position.
To play the game, the operatorgrasps the weight 11, moves the same forwardly to substantially above the indicating spot 17 then the operator releases the pear shaped weight 11 and allows the same to swing in the direction of the indicating spot 18, taking care to allow the pin 12 to clear the pin 13. On the return swing of the pear shaped weight 11, if the player has accurately positioned the pear shaped member '14: on the space 16,
From the above it will be seen that a game i is provided which requires considerable judgment and skill as to swinging weights,
and one wherein any number of players may play.
The invention having been set forth what is claimed as new and useful is i 1. A game comprising a base having a fiat surface and an inclined surface, a swinging weight carried by a support and disposed above the base, said swinging weight eingprovided with a downwardly extendlngpin, a we1ghtdisposed on the base ad- ]acent the incllned surface thereof and provided with an upwardly extending pin, said upwardly extending pin being adapted to be engaged by the downwardly extending pm of the swinging weight, which swinging weight. tilts the base carried weight and allows the same to roll down the inclined surface.
2. A game comprising a base having suspended thereover a cord-carried pear shaped weight, said cord carried Weight being provided with a downwardly extending pin, a
second pear shaped weight disposed on the base adjacent an inclined surface of the base and adjacent a scale on said inclined surface, said second pear shaped weight having an upwardly extending pin, said upwardly extending pin being adapted to be engaged by the downwardly extending pin of the suspended pear shaped member when said suspended pear shaped member is swung transversely of the base, thereby causing the second pear shaped weight to be 15 THEODORE H.
