These three cards are held together by spring clips 14 or other suitable elements and are relatively adjustable as will be here- Should the first day of the month fall on a Thursday the card 12 hearing the numbers of the days of the month is moved upwardly on the other card 10 which snugly fits in the envelop. When the name Thursday in one of the horizontal spaces on the other card appears adjacent the upper edge of the card 12 bearing the numbers of the days of the month the upward movement is stopped.
The L-shaped card 13 is shifted vertically on the face of the card 12 if the month contains less than thirty-one days. In the drawtaining twenty-eight days, therefore the L- shaped card 13 is used to cover the numbers twenty-nine, thirty and thirty-one. hen the card is inserted in the envelop the first of the month will appear opposite the day Thursday in the column adjacent the side of the large opening 2 as shown in the draw- 1I10S.
The spaces above and below the large opening 2 on the face of the envelop may be utilized for any suitable advertising matter such as stores on calendars distributed advertising.
From the foregoing description of the construction and operation of my improved calendar, the manner of using the same and the operation thereof will be readily understood, and it will be seen that I have provided a simple and efiicient device of this character for carrying out the objects of the invention. v

A calendar comprising an envelop having an open end and a rectangular opening in its front face, names of the days of the week in a vertical column adjacent one side of said opening, a card insertible in said envelop, names of six days of the week vertically arranged in horizontal spaces at the upper end of the card and adapted to be covby them in their ered by the face of the envelop above said opening, a second card covering the entire lugs the month of February is shown conand real estate oflices place.
space below the names of the six days'of the week and slidably contacting the front face of theaforesaid card, said second card having numbers and the days of the month arranged in vertical and horizontal spaces, said second card having the numbers arranged so that when it is moved vertically to cover oneor more of the names of the days of the week on the first named card the name of the day appearing adjacent its upper edge will correspond with the name of the day of the week appearing opposite the first day of the month on said second card.
2. A calendar comprising an envelop having an .open top and a rectangular opening in its-front face, names of the days of the week in a vertical column adjacent one side of the opening, a card insertible in said euvelop, names of six days of the week vertically arranged in horizontal spaces at the upper end of the card and adapted to be covered by the face of the envelop above the opening, a second card covering the entire space below the names of the sixdays of the week and slidably contacting the front face of the aforesaid card, said second card having the numbers of the days of the month arrangedin vertical and horizontal spaces and having the numbers arrangedso that when it is moved vertically in relation to the first named card to cover one or more of the names of the days of the week on the first named card the name of the day appearing adjacent its upper edge will correspond with the name of the day of the week appearing opposite the first day of the month on said second card, and a substantially L- shaped card shiftable on the second named card to cover up a portion of the numbers when there are less than thirty-one days in the month;
In testimony whereof I have hereunto set my hand in the presence of two subscribing witnesses.
