In said prior shaped strap which engaged the upper clamping member were arranged-to slide within the arms of the lower strap, and an independent clip connected to through which the arms of the upper strap were arranged to slide, pivoted in said clip and arranged in slots formed in the arms of position to engage the arms of the upper strap.

When the soles are removed from between the clamping boards, the stack is preferably first inverted, andth'en the cam levers are pressed down, unlocking the arms, so that the bottom board and strap member maybe lifted from the stack.
