To all whom it may conce/m Be it known that I. OTTO 1V. PETERSON, a citizen of the United States, residing at Bertrand, in the county of Phelps and State of Nebraska, have invented certain new and useful4 Improvements in Automobiles, of which the following is a specification.
My linvention relates to improvements in automobiles and refers particularly to a device adapted to be att-ached to the water y radiator of all standal'd makes of machines in which the radiator is located in the front of the engine, and working in conjunction with the water cooling system to more effectively cool the engine.
The primary object of this invention is the provision of a device of this' character capable of attachment to machines now in use or at the time of their manufacture, which l will concentrate and equally distribute the currents of air created by the fan. to all of the cylinders of the engine.
A further object of the invention hereinafter described isv the production of an attachment of the character and for the pur pose stated which will be of simple con- -struction and, inexpensive to manufacture,
thereby insuring an eflicient device which will be within the reach of all automobile 80 owners.
With the above and other objects in view which will appear as the description pro ceeds, the invention consists in the novel construction, combination Vand arrangement 85 of parts hereinafter described and claimed, it being understood that changes in the pre cise embodiment of the invention herein disclosed canbe made without departing from the spirit of the invention. In the accompanying drawings, I have v. illustrated one complete example of the physicalembodiment of my invention c-onstructed according to the best mode I have so far devised for the practical application '45 of-thelprinciples of my invention.

Attention is invited to the accompanying drawings, in which my invention is illustrated as attached to the radiator 1, having the usual Wateror hose connections 2, leading to the motor 'orengine 3, all of which may be of any desired des'ign or make.

ator and in this chamber is mounted the air fan 15, having the shaft 16 secured .thereto and carrying the pulley 17 which'is connected to the pulley 17 carried by the e11- gine crank shaft (not shown) by the belt 18.
' As it will be apparent, when the engine or motor 3, is running the fan 15' revolves drawing in the currents of air, which, 'by action of the fan, are forced through the pipes 12 into the distributing cylinder 10 where the currents of air are blown against` the tops of the cylinders of the engine-.

The distributing cylinder 10 is entirely supported by the pipes 12 secured to the main air chamber, but if'desired the cylinder 10 maybe supportedor braced from therod 19, bythe braces 20..

In the machines now in use the fan merely ator and consequently against t e first cylinder, ,the rear cylinders-receiving none of the cooling air, but my invention overcomes Y this inherent vJbjection byA equally distrbut-1 ing the air to all the cylinders, as hereinbefore stated.
While in the drawings I have illustrated my invention as in use in connection with a -four cylinder motor or engine, it will be obvious that it is adapted foriuse with any number of cylinders, it being only7 necessary vto have the cylinder 10 made practically the same length asthe engine or motor.
