When the supporting portions ofthe legs have been assembled with the frame in the Patented Aug. `2i, .1917. Appliatidnmafivovembr 1,1916:l senambflzsgeoof 'leef manner described the ornamental shells 2O` f 23 are inserted in the grooves 22 in which position they are clamped by the screws 28 (Fig. 8) which pass through the channels 5 and 6 and force the facier plates 23 outward against the sides of the grooves 22. The bed 3 may then be secured upon the 'frame and the table is ready for use.

From the foregoing it will be readily understood that I have succeeded in perfecting a metal table which may be readily assembled from standard and interchangeable parts and the ornamental portions of which may be varied within a wide range, it being possible to stamp the shells forming the decorative portions of the legswith various designs and the entire table being susceptible to receive finishes of differing character, depending upon the taste of theprospective user. Moreover, my improved table is of a minimum weight consistent with suiiicient strength and particularly the rigidity which is essential to a game table of this character. The provision of means for adjusting the frame with respect to the legs does away with an annoying feature of tables of the usual form which require one or more of the legs to be supported on blocks where the surface upon which the table rests is un even.

It will be further understood that various changes may be made in the form, construction and arrangement of the parts without departing from the spirit and scope of the invention or sacrificing any of its material advantages, the form hereinbefore described being merely a preferred embodiment thereof.

I claim:

l. In a game table, the combination of a metal frame, metal legs, each comprising a supporting portion and a seat to receive a section of said frame, and means for adjustably securing said legs to said frame.

2. In a game table, the combination of a metalk frame, metal legs, each comprising a supporting portion and a seat to receive a section of said frame, elongated openings in said frame, and bolts disposed in said openings and threadedly engaging ,said legsto adjustably secure said legs to said frame.

3. In a game table, the combination of a` metal frame, metal legs adjustably secured thereto, and ornamental metal shells surf rounding said legs.

4. In a game table, the combination of a I Ccpies of this patent may be obtained for metal frame, metal legs adjustably secured thereto, ornamental metal shells surrounding said legs, and facier plates covering said frame between said legs.

5. In a game table, the combination of a metal frame, metal legs adjustably secured thereto, ornamental metal shells surrounding said legs, facier plates removably disposed between said legs, and means for se.- curing said facier plates in position.

6. In a game table, the combination of a metal frame, legs comprising metal upright members, and a horizontal metal plate secured to said upright members and forming therewith a seat to receive said frame and means for adjustably securing said legs to` said frame.

. 7. In a game table, the combination of a metal frame, legs comprising metal upright members, a horizontal metal plate secured to said upright members and forming therewith aseat to receive said frame, and means for adjustably securing said legs to said frame, and ornamental metal shells surrounding said legs.

8. In a game table, the combination of a metal frame and legs secured thereto comprising metal upright members, a horizontal metal plate secured to said upright members and forming therewith a seat to receive said frame, ornamental metal shells surrounding said legs, and facier plates covering said frame between said shells.

9. In a game table, the combination of a frame and supporting means therefor of structural metal, metal shells surrounding said supporting means and provided with grooves, facier plates disposed between said shells with their ends in said grooves, and means for securing said facier plates in positon.

10. In a game table, the combination of a frame and supporting means therefor ofstructural metal, metal shells surrounding said supporting means and provided with grooves, facier plates disposed between said shells with their ends in said grooves, and screws in said frame engaging the inner faces of said facier plates to secure them in position.
