Be it known that we, FRANK B. \Vonnns and liDYMtl) (.HtLSUN, citizens of the United States. and residents of Jamestown, in the.
, rounty of Chautauqua. and Buffalo, county of Erie, respectively, in the State of New York, have invented new and useful Improvements in SheetMetal Frames, of'whieh the following, taken in connection with the accompanying drawings, is a full, clear, and exactdesvription.
This invention relates to certain impr0vemerits in sheet metal frames, and more parquickly removetlor replaeed in operative po-- sition without displacin destroying or otherwise mutilating any of the parts of tho frame. to allow. it used in ('onnt't'tion with screen trann-s. the r wiring of the frame.

The frame is formed of separate hollow side and nd rails -l---- and 2- respectivelv having their meeting ends mitered connecting portion --1] extending across both channels -t and -5.

Fig. 5 illustrates a spring l6 asapplied to the side rail 1 of the frame shown in Fig. -1-- and is mounted in the groove 1(3 one end 1T being otfset and inserted through a slot in the metal frame, the other endbeing movableto allow the proper movement of the spring under pressure.
It will be apparent that many changes may be made in the details of construction and arrangement of the features hereinbetore described without departing from the spirit of this invention as set forth iirthe appended claim, the essential feature of which is the use of two channels in combination with a two-armed retaining strip,'
