PATENT cr tics,
ANTON E. FISCHER AND ANTON C. FISCHER, OF CEDABBURG, WISCONSIN.
REVOLVING PLATFORM.
Application filed January 10, 1916.
To all 'LUILOIIL it umy (011067711 Be it known that we, ANTON E. FIsoI-IER and AN'roN C. Fisorinn, citizens of the United States, residing at Cedar-burg, county of Ozauk ce, and State of Visconsin, have invented new and useful Improvements in Revolving Platforms, of which the following is a specification.
Our invention relates to improvements in automatically revoluble platforms and it pertains to that class upon which a variety of Christmas toys and gifts are adapted to be displayed, such device being sometimes referred to as a Christmas tree.
Our invention is further explained by reference to the accompanying drawings in which Figure 1 represents a vertical section thereof. Fig. 2 is a plan view, and Fig. 3 is a bottom view of a circular series of deflecting vanes which are adapted to be revolved in a circular course by the passage of air against and between them.
Like parts are referred to by the same reference numerals throughout the several views.
While the number of platforms may be increased or diminished, we would preferably employ three separate platforms which are revoluble and supported from the base by member 3 upon the central spindle 4. The spindle 4 is provided at its lower end with a metallic end 5 which is adapted to run upon a glass or any other very hard base member 3 as shown in Fig. 1, while the upper end of the spindle is provided with a metallic member 6 which is adapted to revolve in the aperture 7 of the stationary bar 8. The spindle 4 is provided with a plurality of annular shoulders 9 upon which the several platforms 2 are adapted to rest. Surrounding the revoluble platforms 2 are a plurality of annular platforms 10 and the platforms 10 are supported above the base member 11 by a plurality of vertical standards 12. Supported upon the several platforms 10 are a plurality of candles 13 which when lighted cause a strong current of air to rise, and as the air thus rises it is brought in contact with the annular series of vanes 14 causing them to revolve. The vanes 14 are Specification of Letters Patent.

supported at their upper and lower edges by and between the annular members 15, and said members 14 and 15 are centrally supported from the member 6. Thus it is obvious that as the upper series of vanes 14 are revolved, they revolve with them said members 15, 6 and 4, whereby said platforms 2 are caused to revolve carrying with them the toys or other matter supported thereon. The lower platform 10 is preferably supported upon a plurality of vertical members 16 and the block 8 is preferably supported from a lower member 11 upon a plurality of blocks 17. It will of course be understood that the number of platforms may be increased or diminished and the number of candles employed may be increased or diminished as well as the stationary and annular members 10 and their supporting members 12. The several stationary members 10 are each provided with a plurality of candle holders 18 which are permanently and rigidly connected with the annular members 10 and provided with a central aperture 19 for the reception of the candles.
Having thus described our invention, what we claim as new and desire to be secured by Letters Patent is In a device of the described class, the combination of a plurality of annular stationary platforms, a plurality of candles supported by said stationary platforms, a revoluble spindle centrally located within said stationary platforms, an annular series of vanes supported from the upper end of said spindle, a plurality of revoluble platforms supported from said spindle centrally located within said stationary platforms, a plurality of candles supported from said revoluble platforms, all substantially as and for the purpose specified.
In testimony whereof we affix our signatures in the presence of two witnesses.
