JESSIE JANE SHARP, OF CIRCLE, HINT-ANA.
SANITARY TOILET-SEAT PBOTEG Tog.
To all whom it may concern Be it known that I, Jnssm \J. SHARP, a citizen of the United States, residing. atCi role, in the county'of Dawson and State of Montana, have invented certain new and useful Improvements in Sanitary Toilet-Seat Protectors; and I do hereby declare the following to bea full, clear, and exact description of the invention, such as will enable others skilled in the art to which it apper= tainsto make and use the same. I
- This invention relates to new and useful "improvements in s'anitary toilet seat protectors and one of its objects is the provi sion of a device of this character, which shall be simple, durable and eflicient and which may be manufactured and sold at a comparatively low cost.
A further object of this invention is the provision of a protector constructed of thin paper or other suitablematerial and cut to conform with the curvatureof a toilet seat and which may be folded and sold from "vending machines placed inconvenient protector in a places within public stations orftoilets used y the public.
tain novel features OfOOIlStl'llCtlQIi, 'combi-" nation and arrangement of parts as will be hereinafter more fully described and i For a complete understanding of my invention, reference is to be had to the following description and accompanying drawing,
in which l a Figure 1 is a front elevation of a toilet seat protector constructed in accordance with my invention,
Fig.2 is a transverse sectional view of a toilet bowl and seat, illustrating my invention applied thereto,
Fig. 3 is a t?) plan view, illustrating the 01 ed position, and Fig.- 4 is a fragmentary plan view of a portion of the protector and one of the Specification of Letters Patent.

loops, illustrating the fastening means between the pro tector and one of the loops.
-Referring'in detail to the drawings, 1 indicates a toilet or flush bowl, having mounted ther 5011 a seat 2 of any well known type, to whici my invention is applied.
Referring e pecifically to my invention, the
numeral 3 1B1 licatesa protector constructed of tissue or'whin paper, which is of semi circular forlr ation and rests upon and entirely covers the top face of the toilet seat 2. Secured or f( rmed integrally-with the protector 3 is a. 'p tir of oppositely disposed He 5 4. The flaps 4; are each passed through t e enlarged ends of loops 5 and bent rearwardly upon the prot :ctor 3. Reinforcing strips are provided with glue or other adhesive material 6 on 01 .e of their faces and are positioned u on t 1e free ends of the flaps): and extende tensions as illustrated at -7. The extensions 7 are attached to the protector 3, to firmly hold' or securr theflaps 4 thereto, providing means for seruring the loops 5 to the protector 3.
The loops 5 are each constructed of a conto points beyond, to provide ex-- 1 tinuous piece afiwire having a reduced open- 'ing' at the free ends thereof to receive studs 8, which are E ecured to the edges of the seat 2 in any suit lble manner. It will beseen that the loops 5 may be easily and quickly attached and detached from the studs 8 to apply and remove the protector 3 as desired.
The protect or 3 may. be folded longitudinally and then transversely as illustrated in Fig. 3, to provide a compact article which may be placed in a vending machine in great munbers, so that protectors of this type may be furnished to the public by means of vending machines especially" designed for 'articlesof thiikind. j
While I have shown and described'the preferred embodiment 'of-my invention, it
will be llIidGlStOOd that minor changes in construction, iombi'nation and arrangement of parts may be made without departing from the spirit and scope of the invention as claimed.
-Havin th 15 described my invention, whatIcaimfs:-' p A fastener ior an article comprising a pair of o positely disposed flaps formed on the artic e, loops providedwith enlarged ends for receiving the flaps, and laterally proits jeoting arms secured to the free ends of the points of the hinges of the loops to the flaps and extending from each side of the article. v flaps and provided with adhesive material In testimony whereof I affix my Signature thereon, said flaps extending through the in presence of two witnesses. 5 loops and bent rearwardly upon the article JESSIE JANE SHARP.
