ANTIREFILLABLE BOTTLE.
Specification of Letters Patent. Patgnted Feb. 27, 191% Application filed April 30, 1912. Serial No. 694,229.
To all whom t may concern Be it knownthat I, ALY I. Soi-IALL, a subject of the Emperor of Austria-Hungary, residing at Yonkers, in the county of "Westchester and State of New York, have invented new and useful Improvements in Antirefillable Bottles, of which the. following is a specification.
My invention relates to the class of nonreillable bottles, and more particularly to a bottle having a locking mechanism within its neck which prevents-the refilling of the saine, except when said mechanism is withdrawn by the use of al s )ecial tool.
The primary object o my invention is to provide a non-.reillable bottle of simple yet efficient construction which shall have means p whereby a cap may be locked to the top of said bottle, and not removed except through the means aforesaid.
Another object of my invention isrto provide a bottle of the foregoing type having a cap of such construction as to cause any liquid forced through one side of said cap to flow out. of the other without entering said bottle.
A still further object of my invention is to provide a bottle having the l'oregoingA features which may be locked to the body of said bottle in a new 'and novel manner.
lVith the foregoing and other objects in view, my invention consists in such details of construction and in the arrangement and combination of parts as will be hereinafter more fully described and specifically pointed out in theapl'iended claims.

lIn reducing the invention to` practice a bottle 1 of usual construction is employed. This bottle has the customary neck Q which however is separated from the interior of the bottle by means of a bridge piece .3, through which pass apertures 4 and 5. In the neck 2 is also disposed a partition 6 cast integral with th'e remainder of the bottle, thus causing the aperture 5 to extend in a long passage way 7 to the upper end of the said neck as will be' readily understood.` The remainder of the neck is entirely open as shown at 8, this space communicating with the body through the aperture 4:
In the center of the bridge piece 3 is an aperture centrally disposed in the bridge piece and the upper face of the bridge being hollowed out as shown at 10 for a purpose which will be hereinafter more fully pointed out.v A plug 11, provided with a flared head, is passed upwardly through a centrally disposed aperture in the bridge 3, and may, if desired, Ybe held in place by a seal 12, which may be eitherglass or other suitable vitreous substance.' Said plug 11 is provided with external screw threads 13, upon the shank, which are adapted to engage internal threads 14 disposed 'in the ends of the hollow connecting member-1.5.- .In

The stem 17 referred to is hollow its entire length as illustrated at 19, the'passage Way designated by the last mentioned numeral opening through the top of acap as illustrated. Having thus fullydescribed my invention, what'I claim as new and desire to secure by Letters Patent, is

In a. device of the character described, a bottle having a neck pro-vided with a bridge near the base/thereof, said bridge having apertures therein, said neck having a passage-way therethrough, a bottle cap on the end of said neck, said cap having an aperture registering with said passageway, a depending stem connectedto said cap and having a `passage-way extending there through, a stud having threads screwed into said bridge, a hollow connecting member internally threaded at each end, one end adapted to engage the threads on one end of said stud and the other end adapted to engage screwthreads on the end of said depending stem, one set of threads being right-handed and the other left-handed, and means in said connecting member adapted to receive a special tool passed through said stem whereby the cap and connecting men1- ber may be taken from the bottle.

In a device of the character described, a bottle having a neck provided with a bridge near the base thereof, said bridge having apertures therein, said neck having a passage-way therethrough, a bottle cap on the `end of said neck, said cap having an aperture registering with said passage way, a. depending stem connected to said cap and having a passageway dextending therethrough, a stud having threads screwed into said bridge, a hollow connecting memberinternally threaded at each end," one end adapted to engage the threads on oneend of said stud and the other end Aadapted to engage screw threads on the end of said depending stem, one set of threads being right /handed and v.the other left-handed, means in said connecting' member adapted to receive a special rtool passed through said slot whereby the cap and connecting member may be taken from the bottle.
