FLOW-PIPE HOLDER FOR FOUNTAlN-SYRINGES.
specification of Letters Patent. Patented Feb, 20, 19 17.
Application filed September 25, 1916. Serial No. 121,986.
to form the middle hook 10, from which the 7 vide a convenient and effective support for the flow-pipe or hose when not in use, so
that the same will be kept free from kinks or sharp bends. Another object is to provide a device for the purpose mentioned which shall be simple and inexpensive to manufacture. To these and other ends the invention consists in the novel features and combinations hereinafter described.
One form of the invention is shown in the accompanying drawing, in which- Figure 1 is a front view of the device.
Fig. 2 is a section on line 2-2 of Fig. 1.
Fig. 3 shows the device in use with a widemouthed fountain syringe.
Fig. 4 shows the device in use-with a syringe of the hot water bottle type.
In its preferred form, the device is composed of a single piece of stiff wire, of suitable length. The piece is bent at the center wire is bent. downwardly and laterally in arcuate form. At suitable distances from the middle hook the wire is bent to form the side or end-hooks 11. From the latter the wire is bent upwardly and toward the I center, then straight upward and down.
toward the rear to form the two laterally spaced hangers or hooks 12 by which the device can be suspended; as, for example, from the mouth of the syringe, as in Fig. 3, or from the edge of a hotwater bottle, as in Fig. 4.-. .The'hose or flow pipe 13 is laid in the hooks 10, 11, and is supported inla' curve of long radius, thereby avoiding the kinks and sharp bends that cause such rapid deterioration in rubber tubing.
I claim: A device for the purposedescribed, composed of a piece'of wire bent centrally to form a forwardly extending middle hook 10,
the wire extending laterally and downwardly from the middle hook in arcuate form and bent to form forwardly extending end or side hooks 11 thence upwardly and toward the center, and upwardly, rear-' wardly and downwardly to form laterally spaced hangers or hooks 12.
In testimony whereof I hereunto afiix my signature.
WILLIAM HENRY SIMMONS.
