ROTARY DISPLAY TABLE FOR STORE WINDOWS.
APPLICATION EILED DEC. 14. 1915.
L 50 Patented Dec. 12, 1916.
-2 SHEETS-SHEET 2- WILLIAM M. BELLVILLE, 0F CANNELTON, INDIANA.
ROTARY DISPLAY-TABLE FOR STORE-WINDOWS,
To all whom it may concern Be it known that I, WILLIAM M. BEL VILLE, a citizen of the United States, residing at Cannelton, in the county of Perry and State of Indiana, have invented certain new and useful Improvements in Rotary Display-Tables for Store-Windows; and I do hereby declare the following to be a full, clear, and exact description of the invention, such as will enable others skilled in the art to which it appertains to make and use the same, reference being had to the accompanying drawings, and to the letters and figures of reference marked thereon, which form a part of this specification.
This invention relates to new and useful improvements in rotary tables for show window purposes in stores, etc, and consists in the provision of asimple and eflicient device of this nature having various details of construction, combinations and arrangements of parts which will be hereinafter fully described, shown in the accompanying drawings and then specifically defined in the appended claim.
My invention is illustrated in the accompanying drawings, in which:
Figure 1 is a top plan view. Fig. 2 is a sectional view vertically through the table.
Fig. 3 is a transverse sectional View. Fig. 4b
is a bottom view of one of the tables. Reference now being had to the details of the drawings by letter, A designates the base of the table having a circumferential flange B, and C designates a circular'series ofteeth or pins which project horizontally from the inner, surface of the flange at any suitable location. Rising from said base is a projection 11) having a ball bearing D therein upon which the pintle E rests and which projects from the lower surface of the rotatable table F. Said table is mounted upon rollers H which travel upon the upper edge of the flange B and has a downwardly extending flange I adjacent to its periphery Specification of Letters Patent.
Patented net. 12, rate.
Application filed December M, 1915. Serial No. 66,835.
and which fits over the flange B. Mounted upon the table E are the smaller rotatable tables K, each of which has roller bearings L underneath the same and which rest upon the table F, and the pintle N of each table K is'connected with a gear wheel R having teeth S thereon which are adapted to engage with the teeth C.
The operation of the rotary table will be readily understood and is as follows :'llhe table F may be given a rotary movement in any suitable way, either by power. or by hand and, as it rotates, the intermeshing teeth G and S will cause the rings It to rotate and also the small tables K.
By the provision of a rotary table made in accordance with my invention, it will be noted that a simple and eflicient apparatus is afforded whereby a large surface may be employed for displaying articles of various kinds and, by the rotary movements of the parts, will bring the articles successively to the frontwhere they may be visible.
What I claim to be new is A display table for store windows, etc.,
comprising a circular base with a circumferentialv flange having a series of annular teeth projecting from its inner face, a rotatable table having a downwardly extending flangetelescoping over the flange of the base, spaced apart therefrom, a post having a bearing centrally in the base and fixed to said table, pintles mounted upon said table,
WILLIAM M. BELLVILLE.
