l To all whom may con-cern Be it known that I, JERvIs HARBECK, a citizen of the United States of America, re-
siding in the city of- Detroit and county of' Wayne, State of Michigan, have invented certa-in new and useful Improvements in Dredging-Cans, of which the following 1s a specification, reference being had therein to 3 5 portions of the body can be clamped. Thus,

In constructing dredging cans designed to hold bath powder, cleansing powder, and Athe like,` it is desirable-in order .to reduce the cost of the can-to form the can vbody ofppasteboard, or heavy paper, while the closures for 'the ends of the body portion are formed of metal.' As the closures have a tendency to pull, or tear out from the paper body jportion, they are preferably. formeddishshaped, thereby giving acomparatively large bearing surface against which the end as shown, A is the can body, formed of pasteboard, and B the bottom, which is of the usual dish-shape, and lits tightly within thelower endof the can. vrI`he annular flange C of the dished bottom has a re-bent portion I), Vwhich engages the end of the body, and is rolled or otherwise'bentto clamp the latter against the flange C.
