To all whom it mag concern Be it knownthat I, TnoMAs :R. BARNI ZSy a citizen of the United States, residing at Mansfield, in'the county of Richland and State of Ohio, have invented certain -new and useful-Improvements in Foldable Wall- Tables; and I do herebyideclare thefollowing to be a full, clear, and exact description of the invention, such aswill enable others skilledin the art to which it appertains to make andruse the same.

Fig. 3 is a part side elevation and part section a1 view of the table, folded.

The table as shown comprises, in brief, a shelf bracket portion adapted to be attached to the wall; a top hinged to the bracket portion; a wall fixture on which the shelf bracket is supported; and swingable members attached to the wall whereby the top portion is supported in horizontal position when in use, and can be folded against the wall under the shelf bracket and behind the top when the latter is dropped to folded position.

The wall fixture preferably consists of a metal bar ori-castlng having a mam hori- :zontal portion 1 provided in its upper rear side with pockets or notches 1, and having depending end portions 1 which are provided at their lower ends with outwardly extended projections '1.

The shelf bracket portion 2 is adapted to cover the wall fixture l, and is provided witlr depending lugs 2 at its upper rear edge which are adapted to engage in the pockets 1 in the wall fixture so asto sustain the shelf portion thereon. The shelf bracket also has depending end portions 2",

I prefer to use two adjustable brackets 4 which are swingably supported below the shelf by means of pintles 4* on their upper ends engaging eyes 1 on the fixture 1 and by means of pintles 48 on their lower ends engaging eyes 6 in small brackets or hinge members 6 fastened to the wall at suitable points. These parts when properly assembled form a compact, neat substantial sanitary wall table; the exterior surfaces of the shelf and table top are preferably finished in white enamel, imparting an attractive cleanly appearance to the table and enhancing its utility and serviceability. Small articles can remain upon the shelf portion when the table top is lowered. When the top is lowered, as shown in Fig. 3, the table occupies very little room; and it is particularly desirable for use in small rooms, or where it is preferred to have the table out of the way when not in use. As shown in Fig. 1 straps 1' may be hooked over the'upper edge of the shelf portion; and an enameled iron rolling-pin R supported thereon; such a rolling-pin is usually;

sold with the table, but forms no part of the present invention.

What I claim is:

1. sanitary foldable wall table comprising a wall fixture having a main hori- Zontal portion and depending end portions, a bracket having a main horizontal portion and depending end portions fitting over the main and end portions of said fixture, and also having a shelf thereon, interengaging means on said fixture and bracket for detachably securing them together without other fastening means, a table top hinged to said bracket so as to form an extension of the shelf thereon when in raised position, and means for supporting said top when raised; said means being adapted to swing back behind said top when the latter is lowered. v

2; In a table, the combination of a slotted wall fixture, an integral shelf bracket having a shelf portion and lugs at its upper edge adapted to engage the slots of the wall fixture and having integralend portions extending outwardly as far as the shelf portion and located below it; with a top hinged to the said end portions adjacent the outer edge of the shelf; and means for supporting the top in raised position, said means being foldable beneath the shelf and behind the top when the top is lowered.

3. In combination, a wall fixture, a bracket supported on said fixture and having a shelf and pendant end portions integral therewith overlying and concealing said fixture, interlocking means on said fixture and bracket for detachably supporting the bracket on the fixture, a table top hinged to said bracket and adapted when raised to form an extension of the shelf on said bracket and to swing downwardly substantially parallel with the wall on which it is supported; said fixture having recesses in the upper edge thereof and pendant end portions with lateral projections, and said bracket having pendant lugs adapted to engage said recesses and pendant end portions with inwardly extending lugs engaging said lateral projections; and means for supporting said table top in a raised position; said means being adapted to swing back behind said top when the latter is lowered.

4. A foldable wall table comprising a wall fixture consisting of a metal bar having a main horizontal portion provided with notches in its upper edge and with depending end portions having outwardly extended projections, a shelf bracket provided with depending end portions having inwardly projecting lugs adapted to lie behind said outwardly extended projections and with depending lugs engaging said notches, whereby said shelf bracket is suspended from said fixture, a table top hinged to said shelf bracket so as to form an extension of the shelf thereon when in raised position, and means for supporting the table top in its raised position; said means adapted to swing back behind the top and the latter adapted to swing downwardly in front of said means.
