UNITED STATES PATENT OFFICE.
IMPROVEMENT IN BAG-HOLDERS.
Specification forming part of Letters Patent No. 118,897, dated September 12, 1871.
To all whom it may concern:
Be it known that we, OSCAR BARRETT and AZZEL D. BROOKS, of Dartford,in the county of Green Lake and State of Wisconsin, have invented a new and Improved Bag-Holder; and we do hereby declare -that the following is a full, clear, and exact description thereof, which will enable others skilled in the art to make and use the same, reference being had to the accompanying drawing forming a part of this specification, in which* Figure l represents a side view of our improved bag-holder. Fig. 2 is a detail transverse section of the same on the line c c, Fig. l.

This invention relates to a new device for holding bags open to be lled with grain, vegetables, or fruit; and consists in the use of a semiciroular hoop, folded under the rim of the bag, and of three or more forked posts for supporting said hoop.

The bag-holder herein described, composed of the forked posts B B C, and semicircular hoop D, constructed and applied substantially as set forth.
