Be it known that I, GEORGE L; THOM, a

citizen of the United States, residing at Brooklyn, in thecounty of Kings. and State of New York, have invented certain new 8 and useful Improvements in Display-Stands and I do hereby declare the following to be a full, clear, and exact description of the invention, such as will enable others skilled in the art to which it appertains to make and use the same.

This invention relates to display stands 8 I and more particularly to that type of stand for supporting an electric lamp upon which a revolving display, as showninPatent No. 807,841, to P. H. Korst, is mounted.

An object of this invention is-to provide a support for an incandescent lamp socket so that said socket may be maintained-in upright position. 7

A; further object of this invention is a provision ofa socket support formed of two pieces of material such. as cardboard orthe like. I

A further object of this invention is to provide a support for a revolving adverjtising display in which the support may in the form of a bracket and Figs. 5-and 6' show plan views of theblanks comprising a support of a pedestal formation.

As it is possible to place a revolving display upon an incandescent electric lamp in such a manner as to'permit said revolving display to operate by the heat generated by said lamp,'it is necessary to'pr'ovide a simple support whereby the socket in which an electric lamp is placed, may be maintained in upright position. This application v presents a simple device which servesthis purpose and it is understood that the material of which the several forms to be described are made, is not restricted to any particular line of material as it is possible to usev cardboard,fiber board or metal with equal satisfaction.

Referring to the drawings in which the several forms are shown, 10 indicates an electric fixture having the ordinary lamp socket 11 secured thereto and in this socket 1S placed the usual extension plug 12'to which the terminals of the'fiexible cord 13 are connected and the opposite terminals of said flexible cordare properly secured in an ordinary socketl which supports an incandescent light upon whichfa revolving display 15 is rotatably mounted. As this device is intended to cooperate with the Korst patent in producing-abomplete product, this device will be described as the support for the electric fixtures in uselwith'the Korst patent and this support comprises a blank 16 whichmay have a lug 17 formed thereon which is threaded through thereduced portions 22 and 23 to receive an ordmary lamp socket.
