It is n1 ade substantially as set forth herein and shown in the drawing, letters of reference being used for the several parts, in Which- A is the principal part, formed of metal or other suitable material. B is the point for insertion into the husk. O is a guard above the index iinger, as the instrument is held in the hand, forming the guard of a hand-hold as it curves to lit the iinger in use. E F G are recesses in the handle A for the other three iingers. H is a clasp or band, which may be or' iiexible or elastic material, to surround those three fingers, leaving the index iinger free. Instead of the lower end of the handle being curved, as shovm in thedrawing, it may, if desired, be straight and extend beyond the recess Gr sufficiently to attach the strap H, which may be fastened to the handle in any suitable Way. The form of the handle A is designed to give a somewhat broad bearing on the several lingers, especially those Where the greatest strain coines, and to iit the same so as not to have any part of the ngers by undue pressure get sore in use, and, at the saine time, be retained on the hand by the strap H, and prove Well adapted to service in the use designed. rlhe inside surface of the handle A, as shown at l, is inade concave in form, if desired.
I claim- The hand corn-husker herein shown, consisting of the handle A, husking-horn B, iingerguard and rest O, recesses E F G, and the band H, constructed and arranged substantially as described.
