IMPROVEMENT IN HOUSEHOLD IMPLEMENTS.
Specification forming part of Letters Patent No. 116,849, dated July 11, 1871.
To all whom it may concern:
Be it known that I, REUBEN A. MCGAULEY, of the city and county of Baltimore and State of Maryland, have invented certain Improvements in a Combination Household-Tool, of which the following` is a specification:
The nature and objects of the invention consist in combining, in one implement, a number of devices, each one of which serves a different purpose, and economy is snbserved, as it becomes a cheap article of manufacture.
The Figure is a perspective view of my implement or combination household-tool, in whicha represents the main portion or handle, and b a tire-rake or poker. c is a tack-claw. d combines three useful purposes-1st, a stove-plate lifter; 2d, a pot-hook, and 3d, a hammer. At
the other end e represents a screw-driver, or it may be used as a pry or ice-breaker.
I am aware of the tool of Samuel A. Barr. This I do not claim, its several parts being arr( nged diiierently from mine, and it being` wanting in two of my combined devices-screwdriver and poker.
