Specification forming part of Letters Patent No. 116,177, dated June 20, 1871.
To all whom it may concern:
Be it known that we, ORRIN L. GRIDLEY and CARL ENGELSKEROHEN, of the city of Buffalo, county of Erie, in the State of New York, have inventedoertain Improvements in Lanterns, of which the following is a specification:
The nature of our invention consists in providing the inner portion of oil-pot A surroundin g the burner B with a transparent perforated disk of mica or glass for the purpose of pre venting the burn er from blowing out whenever the lantern should be used in the open air, and to obviate the obstruction of light.
