The edges of the sheet 3 are perforated as indicated in Figs. l and t, and are secured by rivets to the parti-cylindrical shell. of sheet metal, in the manner illustrated.
It will be understood that the construction ,at the other end of the ear is the saine as .that above described, and that the right hand end of the center sill is connected to the underframe casting at such end of the car, inthe same manner as that illustrated in Fig. 2.
