The invention consists generally in forming a supporting bar from metal which is bent into V shape and mounted on a frame so that said V will be upright. |Ihe bar is provided with perforations to permit the dye liquor to circulate-throughthe bar;
Referring more in detail to the drawings, I, is areceptacle orvat which is preferably rectangular in horizontal section andhas side walls and end walls. This receptacle is divided by a partition 2, so as to provide a main dye chamber 3, and a circulating chamber 4. The partition 2, terminates short of the bottom of the receptacle so as to form a passage" for the-dye liquor underneath the same. The partition likewise terminates short of the top of the receptacle so as to form a passage above the top of the partition for the dye liquor. Located in the circulating chamber 4, is a propeller 5, which is driven by any suitable `mea-ns. Valves 6, and 7, control the direction of flow of the dye liquor.

The supporting bars 16,` are carried by the side members 14, of theperforated plate 8. These v bars as clearly shown in the drawings are V-shaped in cross section. The two side members 17, and'18, ofjs'aid V-shaped bar meet at their lower edges so that the V is upright, The article indicated in dotted lines at A, Fig; II,'when hung on the sup-` porting bar will engage only the upper edges of the side members 17, and 18. Said bar is perforated asat 19. The dye liquor in circulating passes through the perforations 19, and will, therefore, freely engage the section of the article spanned between the upper edges of the said members 17, and 18. y By this construction lof the supporting bar/the articles are so held that only a very small lportion thereof is covered orengaged by 'saidfsupporting bar.
The supporting bars are detaohably carried by the supporting table, so that they may be readily removed therefrom to facilitate loading with skeins of yarn or the like. When the holder is lifted by the cover, the bars together with the supported articles which are to be dyed, are bodily lifted either into or out of the main dye chamber. The perforations in the plate 8, permit free circulation of the dye liquor therethrough.

1. A circulating ldyeing apparatus including in combination a receptacle and means for supporting the articles to be dyed including a bar, so disposed that the edges only contact with the article supported thereon, said bar having perforations eX- tending therethrough between its side edges.
2. A circulating dyeing apparatus including in combination a receptacle and means for supporting the articles to. be dyed including V-shaped bars lso disposed that the edges only of the bars make contact withthe articles supported'thereon. l
A dyeing machine including in combination a receptacle having a -main dye chamber, means for causing a uniform flow Y of'dye liquor through said chamber, means for supporting articles to be dyed including alperforated ysupporting plate, a plurality of V-shaped bars carried by said supporting plate and arrangedl side by side, the side walls of said bars diverging outf wardly and upwardly, whereby the upper v edges ofv said side Walls servel as the sole supporting contact for fthe articles to beY dyed.

A rdyeing machine including in combination a receptacle havinga main dye chamber, means for, causing a uniformiiow of dye liquor through said chamber, means for supporting articles to be dyed includinga perforated supporting plate, a plurality of V-shaped bars carried by said supporting plate and arranged side by side, the side walls of said bars diverging outwardly and upwardly, whereby the upper edges of said side walls serve as the sole supporting conj'fact for the articles to be dyed, each of said 5.
