SHOWER-BATH FIXTURE.
Specification of Letters Patent.
Patented Aug. 3, 1915.
Application filed February 27, 1915. Serial No. 11,051.
To all whom it may concern:
Be it known that I, ANTHONY J. KING, a citizen of the United States, residing at Baltimore, in the State of Maryland, have invented certain new and useful Improvements in Shower-Bath Fixtures, of which the following is a specification.
Thi invention relates to improvements in shower bath fixtures and has for its object to provide a simple device so arranged that it can be readily opened over the bath tub when in use, so that the water from the shower will fall into the tub, and when not in use can be folded back out of the way.
In the accompanying drawings, Figure 1 is a perspective view of my invention in the position it occupies when in use. Fig. 2 is a front elevation of same folded back in the position it occupies when not in use.
Referring to the accompanying drawings, forming part ofthis specification, and in which like reference numerals designate like parts throughout the several views thereof, 1 designates the uprights which have their lower ends secured to the floor back of the bath tub, and 2 a stationary rod connecting said two uprights 1. Pivotally connected to each upright 1 near the top thereof is a rod 3 to the outer end of which is pivoted a rod 4, the outer ends of which overlap when the device is in use. Hung from the said rods 2, 3 and 4 is a curtain 5 which overlaps at the front and is sufliciently long to hang into the tub to cause the water from the shower to flow into the tub when the device 1s being used. At one side of the device is a pipe 6 projecting at right angles at its upper end and provided with a sprayer 7 on its outer end. Saidpipe (3 is held by the eyes 8 and 9, in which the said pipe is adapted to be turned to bring the sprayer 7 in position when the device is in use. The eye 8 is provided with a set screw 10 to hold the pipe 6 in any desired position. A small rubber hose 11 connects the lower end of the pipe 6 with the, spigot. The joints of the rods 3 and 4 are so constructed that they fold one above the other and both fold under the rod 2 when the device is not in use.
Having thus described my invention, What- I claim is.
A shower bath fixture comprising two uprights, a stationary rod connecting said uprights, a rod pivoted to each of said uprights and each adapted to fold under the said stationary rod, a. rod pivoted to the outer end of each of said pivoted rods and each adapted to fold back between the stationary rod and the pivoted rod to which it is connected, a curtain hung from said rods, and a sprayer arranged above said rods.
In testimony whereof I affix my signature in presence of twowitnesses.
ANTHONY J. KING.
W'itnesses:
