`State of 'Massachusetts, have invented eertain new and useful Improvements inFirecated to anything outside of the receptacle. Y y2 `Afurther object ofthe invention is to provide a receptacle of this character which entirely dispenses 'with the use of solder or other material liable to be melted by such heat as might be'caused from a lire `inside of the receptacle.`

The .top of the receptacle comprises two` sections, one of which, -19, isixed,.and the other section, `20, beingmovab'le and constituting the hinged cover or lid. The `lineof the hinge betweenlthetwo forms a chord, and the arc formed bythe outer edge of the section 19 is rolled over' the rolled top ofthe body, and is formed with `a tongue 21' at each end of the arc, said tongue'sbeing secured by rivets-22. The front edge of the section 19 is formed with a vertical iange 23,'theflower edge of which flange is preferabl'yrolled or This vertical` doubled at 24 in Fig. 3.
