IMPROVEMENT IN DRAUGHT-REGULATORS FCR STOVE S.
The Schedule referred to in these Letters Patent and making put of the name,
My said improved draught-regulator a is combined with the horizontally-swinging door I) of a stove by means of a suitable operating'handle 0r shank, 0, substantially as shown in the drawing.
The round shank of the dranght regulator works so easily within its reception aperture in the stove-door that it can be freely turned upon its axis by means of the handle 0.
The inner lug d of the draught-regulator serves the purpose of confining the stovedoor in a closed position; and when it is desired to moderate the draught of the storethe door thereof is partially opened to the position shown in fig. 2, and is retained in said position by turning thedraught-regulator to such an extent as to bring the stoveplate at the side of the door-opening into the notch between the lugs d and e of the regulator, as shown in fig. 2.
Any desired number of lugs with'intervening notches may project from my draught-regulator, for the purpose of enabling the same. to retain a stove-door in any desired partially-open position.-
What I claim as my invention, and desire to secure by Letters Patent, is-
The combination of the stove-door handle 0 with the interior attachment a, when the latter is provided with lugs e d, for ,the purposes herein described.
