GAME-TABLE.

To all whom it may concern I 7 Be it known that I, HERMAN T. CHIsHoLM,

a citizen of the United States, residing at 'scription of the invention, such as will enable others skilled in'the art to which itappertains to make and use the same.

" This invention relates to game tables and i the primary object of the invention is the provision of a game table upon which an interes'ting and pleasure givinggame may be played.

. Another "object of this invention is the provision of a game table which is provided with a channel and a deflecting member for deflecting pool balls therefrom at various acute angles for depositing into pockets for registering the game.

With the foregoing andother objects in view this invention consists in such novel features of construction, combination and arrangement of parts 'as will be hereinafter morefully described, illustrated in the accompanying drawings and claimed. In'describing the invention in detail reference will be had to theaccompanying drawing wherein like characters designate like or corresponding parts throughout the several views, and in which Figure 1 is a top 'plan'view of the improved table. Fig. 2 is'a side elevation of the table. Fig. 3 is a longitudinal, sectional view through the table. Fig. 4 is a cross sectional view on'the line 1- 1 of Fig. '1.

Fig. 5 is a cross sectional view on the line 5-5. of Fig. 1, and Fig. 6 is a detail perspective viewof a part of the game board. Referring more particularly to the draw ings, 1 designates a supporting'base board which may be mounted upon any suitable type of legs (not shown) which has secured to its upper surface centrally thereon a second boardlor block 2, which has billiard cloth mounted upon its upper surface as at 3. The board 1 also'has mounted upon its upper surface about its marginal edge moldings 5 which are spaced from the edges of the block 2, leaving a channel 6 surrounding the block 2, which channel is of greater width at the ends of the blockthan: along the sides as is clearly'shown in Fig. l'of the drawing. adjustably secured along one side edge thereof about which pins is stretched an elastic member 9. The pins 7 and 8 are provided with sharpened points so that they may be driven into the block 3 at different positions along the length or transversely of the block to provide for adjusting the elastic member 9 with respect to the arcuate .wall 16 and with respect to the block 20. If it is so desired the block 3 may be provided with a plurality of spaced openings 8 as shown in Fig. l of the drawings, and ordinary stub ends 10 may be used and positioned in various of the openings 8 for the adjustable positioning of the elastic member 9 with respect to the arcu'ate ball guiding wall 16. The elastic member 9 projects upwardly from the upper surface of the block 2 and its function will be hereinafter more fully described. The portion ofthe channel 6 which is positioned at the end of the block adjacently to theelastic member 9' has a block-11 insertedtherein, which block has its rear ends arcuate in shape and its forward ends sub stantially straight, the block forming substantially a semi-circle. An approach 12 is formed integrally with the straight edge of the block 11 at one end thereof and it extends into the'sfide channel 18, extending upwardly from thebase of the channel 13 tothe upper surface of the block 11 forming an incline of the approach therefor. An'ear or transversely extending projection 14 is formed upon the straight edge of the block 13 at the opposite end thereofto the approach 12 and it extends into the channel 15,

formed on the opposite side edge of the block '2 from the channel 13.

A guiding wall 16 is securedto the rear arcuate edge of the block 14 and it projects upwardly therefrom. What is claimed is 1. In a game board structure, a game board being provided with a facial pocket, an upstanding ball guiding wall carried by one end of said board, an elastic membercarried by and upstanding from said game board, said pocket and said elastic member being adjustable with respect to each other and said guiding wall.

In a game boardstructure, a supporting base board, a block mounted centrally upon said base board, a molding extending about the marginal edge of said board and being spaced from said block for forming channels between said blocks and the inner faces of said molding, a block positioned in one of said channels, a tapered approach formed integrally with said block and projecting into another of said channels, an arcuate ball guiding wall carried by said block, a block slidably mounted in one of said channels and being provided with facial pockets, an elastic member supported by and upstanding from said first named block for receiving balls from said arcuate guiding wall and deflecting them into said pockets, said elastic member and said slidable block being adjustable with respect to each other and said arcuate guiding wall.

10. In a game board structure, a base board, a block mounted centrally upon the upper face of said board, a molding extending about the marginal edge of said base board and being spaced from said block for forming channels between said block and the inner faces of said molding, an upstanding ball guiding wall carried by one end of said base board, a block slidably mounted in one of said channels at one side of said first named block and an upstanding elastic member carried by said block upon the opposite side of said slidable block.

11. In a game board structure, a base board, a block mounted centrally upon the upper faceof said board, a molding upon the marginal edge of said base board and being spaced from said block for forming channels between said block and the inner faces of said molding, an upstanding ball guiding wall carried by one end of said base board, a block slidably mounted in one of the channels at one side of said first named block, and an upstanding elastic member carried by said block upon the side opposite of said slidable block, said elastic member being adjustable with respect to said guiding wall, and to said sliding block.

12. In a game board structure, a base board, a block mounted centrally upon the face of said board, a molding extending upon the marginal edge of said base board and being spaced from said block for forming channels between said block and the inner faces of said molding, an upstanding ball guiding wall carried by one end of said base board, a block slidably mounted in one of said channels at one side of said first named block, and an upstanding elastic member carried by said block upon the side opposite of said slidable block, said elastic member being adjustable with respect to said guiding wall and said sliding block, said sliding block being provided with a facial pocket and adjustable with respect to said guiding wall and said elastic member.

13. In a game board structure, a supporting base board, a block mounted centrally upon the upper surface of said base board, a molding extending upon the marginal edge of said board and being spaced from said block for forming channels between said block and the inner faces of said molding, a block positioned in one of said channels, a tapered approach formed integrally with said block and projecting into another of said channels, an arcuate ball guiding wall carried by said block,'a block provided with facial pockets slidably mounted in one of said channels at one side of said first named block, an upstanding elastic member carried by said block upon the side opposite of said slidable block, said elastic member being adjustable with respect to said guiding wall and said slidable block and said sliding block being adjustable with respect to said guiding wall and said elastic member.

14. In a game board structure, a supporting base board, a block mounted centrally upon the upper surface of said base board, a molding extending upon the marginal edge of said base board and being spaced from said block for forming channels between said blocks and the inner faces of said molding, a block positioned in one of the channels, a tapered approach formed integrally with said block and projecting into another of said channels, an arcuate ball guiding wall carried by said block, a block being provided with a plurality of facial pockets slidably mounted in another of said channels and adjustable with respect to said guiding wall, a plurality of detachable pins secured to and upstanding from said first named centrally disposed block, and an elastic member detachably mounted upon said pins for receiving balls from said arcuate guiding wall and deflecting them into said pockets.
