IMPROVEMENT IN DENTISTS INSTRUMENT-STANDS.
The Schedule referred to in these Letters Patent and making part o the same.
To ctllwhont ttmay concern Be it known that I, JOHN J. Ross, D.D. S., of Hernando, in the county oi' De Soto and State ot' Mississippi, have invented a new and useful Improvement in Dentists lnstrnment-Stand; and I do hereby declare the following to be a full, clear, and exact description of the same, reference being had to the accompanying drawing making a part ot' this specilication, in Which- Figure l is a plan View; and
Figure 2 is a side elevation.
This invention has for itsobject to facilitate the Work and save the time of dentists, and it relates to a stand having a rotary-top set on an upright, said top being divided off, on its upper side, into separate compartments for the reception of the different sorts of dental instruments.
Referring to the drawing- 'a is the upright of the stand and b its revolving top, the latter being pivoted in the former in any suitable manner. i
In the middle o f the upper side of the rotary top b4 is an octagonal plane surface c, inclosed by a railing, (l, and intended to hold thediand-niirror, month-mirror, glass of water, and vials of medicines used in dentists practice.
The part of the upper surface of the top Z that surrounds the central space c maybe made sloping therefrom in all directions, and is divided by rails e into spaces f, cach of which is a truncated isosceles triangle.
'lhese spaces are designed to hold such instrumentsl as excavatorsdrills, pluggers, 8vo., each species nf instruments being placed in a different space.

1t secures order, neatness, compactness, and facility for rapid operation.
It may also be most advantageously employed as a ladys work-stand. y
