that can be manufactured at a minimum.
cost; and yet capable of permitting efficient and rapid sweeping, cleansing and disinfecting the surface on which it is being used; while it, also, purifies the surrounding air at the same time.
While the device embodying the invention will successfully use any liquid disinfectant with any of the following oil dust allayers: kerosene, gasolene and floor dressing it is especially made to use combination dust allayers and disinfectants made for this purpose.
Further objects and advantages of this invention will appear in the description following, and the novel features will be pointed out in the appended claim.
It is understood that changes in the form, proportion and minor vdetails of construction may be resorted to without departing from the spirit or sacrilicing any of the advantages of the invention.

The device embodying my invention consists, essentially, of a covering about the shape of the bottom part of an ordinary broom, or other device used for sweeping, made of cloth, oil cloth, leather -or similar material to which is attached one or more pockets to hold a spongy or absorbent material saturated with the above mentioned oils and disnfectants. It, also, has attached a trail or drag made of cloth, and strings by which it may be fastened to the broom, brush or other device used in sweeping.
In use the liquids in the pockets will be gradually distributed upon the broom, or other device used in sweeping, also, to the trail of the drag, or trail of the device, from there to the surface on which it is being used, and by evaporation to the air where it is used.
Claim:
A device of the class described, comprising a sheet of material for attachment to a device used for sweeping, means for attaching the sheet of material to the sweeping device, pockets on the said sheet on opposite sides thereof, and a drag overlying one of the pockets and adapted to be interposed between said pockets and sweeping device.
