HENRY FAIRBANKS, orBo-s'rou., MASSACHUSETTS,
Letters Patent No. 110,964,11ateaoanum11, 1811. A
IMPROVEMENT'IN COMPRESSION-CO-CKS FOR FLEXIBLE TUBES.
The Schedule referred tov in these Letters Patent and part of the sameA v To all whom 'it may concern.
`Be it-known that LHENRY FAIRBANKS, of Boston, in the county of Suffolk and State ot' Massachusetts, have invented a certain new and useful Improvement in Cocks for Flexible Tubes, of which the following is a complete specification. Y
Nat'zi'rc and Object. l Thelnature of my invention consists in combining with a iexible tube, a peculiarly-constructed compression stop-cock, which will be best understood by reference to the drawing. y
' Drawing.
Figure. l shows in perspective one of my compressngcock's, as it appears on aiiexible tube when closed.
Figure 2 (as amended) is a perspective view of the same when open.
General Description.
I construct my improvement as follows: f The compression-cock Gis made of mv suitable metal, and substantially as shown in fig.` 2.
S-and'S are two perforations, made in the plate of which the compression-cock is made.
-Through these perforatious the tube F passes, ns shown, so that the stop-cock, whether closed or open,
will always remain on the pipe,-and may be moved so as to occupy any desired'positiou. i
The stop-cock prqiects inwardly at two points 11,11',
opposite each other, as shown.
purpose set forth. I
HENRY FAIRBANKS.
