Our invention relates to the construction manipulatingthe housing screws of rolling construction and arrangement of the adjust.- ing mechanism used for adjusting the housing screws of'cold rolling mills. W One of the most important features in the operation of a cold rollin mill is in scour-j ing'and maintaining the fine adjustment .of the rolls'necessary to keep the top andbottom rolls in exact par-ullelismso' that the rolledproduct will boot exactly uniform thickness. In the operation ofcold rolling mills it is sometimes necessary to use one end more than the'oppositeyend of the roll bodies which causes the pressure on the roll necks on one end-0f therolls to be greater than that on the necks on the opposite end.
