8. fl superheater for steam boilers, comprising a header having a longitudinal partition dividing said header into separate saturated and superheated steam chambers, and. a longitudinally extending boss at the side of said header adjoiniiig,` an end of said partition, said boss being divided into con'ipartments, alternate ones of said compartments communicating with said saturated and superheated steam chambers.

A superheatei.' for steam boilers, com prising a header having a substantially centz-al longitudinal partition dividing said header into separate saturated and superheated steam chambers and longitudinally extending bo'sses at the sides of said header adjacent the ends oi said partition, said bosses lie-ingr divided into compartments, alternate ones oi' said compartments communicatingi with said 'saturated and superheated steam chambers.

A superheater for a steam boiler, comprising, a header having a chamber connected with the saturated steam from said longitudinal chambered bosses opening into Said Saturated and superheated steam chamf bers, and a superheating steam pipe having" one end connected to a boss Which cOlilmull-k crates with the saturated steam chamber1 and the other ond connected to the boss which communicates with the superheated steam chamber.

14s. il superheater, comprising, a header, having longitudinally arranged saturated and superheatcd chambers therein and a series of ducts arranged in tivo rows on each side of said header and communicating with said chambers respectively, the ducts com municating1 with 'a chamber on a side of said header being staggered With respect to the ducts communicating With the other chamber on the saine side, and superheater tubes coumiunicatinp,4 with said chambers on each side oli said header tl'irough said ducts.

A superheater header having' saturated and superheated steam chambers 'formed therein and externalbosscs formed on the side Walls of said steam chambers and projecting laterally therefrom and havsockets communicating with said chambers respectively, the bosses communicating with one chamber being staggered with respect to those communicating with the other chamber for the same side of the header, andl superheater tubes communicating with said chambers through said sockets.
