IMPROVEMENT IN CCMBINED MMERSIQN AND STEAM-BATHS.

It also relates to the means and method of attachnient of the steam-chamber or apparatus, of whatever material made, flexible or inflexible, to the ordinary bath-tub in use at present, at the will of the bat-11er, the canopyV being capable of being stored within the tub.

Suspended from a hook in the celliug is a covering, B, made of cloth, rubber, or any inflexible material, which extends entirely around the tub, forming above it a chamber in which the steam is collected.
C is a steam-pipe, which conveys the steam or vapor into the tub, provided with a stop-cock, D, and having a perforated shield, E around its end so as to protect the body ot' the bather from the steam-jet.
B', Figure 2, represents another'forrn of the stearachamber, which may bc fused, instead of the one of flexible material, described above. This chambermay be formed of wood, tin, zinc, or any inflexible material, which is secured around the edge of the tub by any suitable devices, so that ltcan be taken down or put up at pleasure.
