Description

- letto/d effin,
e with site FRANK ALLEN, OF ERIE, PENNSYLVANIA.
Letters Patent No. 110,328, dated member 2o, 1830.
IMPROVEMENT IN REVOLVING REFRIGERATRS.
,The Schedule referred to in these Letters Patent and makingpart of the same.
scription of the same, reference being had to the ,accompanying drawing and the letters of reference marked thereon. f The drawing forming a part of this specification Y represents my invention, as follows:
- Figure l is afper'spective view of the same.
Figure 2 is a. perpendicular sectional vview of the i Same.
The nature and object of my invention consist in constructing arefrigerator with an ice-cliaxnber'vith pockets constructed around the same, which are to be used as receptacles for bottles of liquor or any vessels containing matter which it is desired to keep ata pipe, K, leading therefrom.
I next construct the body of my refrigerator, which Ijconsists of the ice-chamber A, surrounded bythe pockets B B B, Ste.v
M In the center of the'icefchamber A is a core, H, opening at the bottom, but closed at the top by the cross-stay E, at which point theretrigerator is pivoted on the conical standard F.
The ice-chamber is connected or communicates with the surrounding pockets B BB, &c., by orifices man, &c.
'Io prevent the water made from the melting ice rising too high in the pockets Iplac'e in the ice-chamber a waste-pipe of just the height required, which discharges into the groove or gutter J before men tioned.
I is the wastepipe,wl1ich, it will be seen, rises only to the height of the water-line n n.
When my invention is in operation the chamber is lled or contains ice, the melting of which fills the pockets with ice-water up to the water-line n, n, and hence bottles or vessels of any kind placed in the pockets are surrounded with ice-water and. their contents kept cool.`
'lhe refrigerator thus constructed, and its pockets filled, being pivoted as described, can be easily re-V volved, and the package containing the liquor or inatter desired can bebrought next to the operator.
Myerefrigerator is designed principally for use in dining or drinking saloons, but it may have a diversity of uses.
What I claim as my invention is as follows:
'Ihe ice`chamber A, with the pockets l1B -B B, 85e., constructed as described, in combination with the base L, guttered as described, and the standard 1:',arran ged and operated' as and for the purposes set forth.
