To all whom'it may concern:

Be it known that I, EGBERT H. DAVIS, a citizen of the United States 'of America, residing aft" Wyandot'te, in the county of Wayne and State of Michigan, have invented certain new and useful Improvements in Garment-Hangers, of which the following is a specification, reference being had therein to the accompanying .drawings.

My invention relates to garment hangers, and more particularly to a hanger designed fig wardrobe trunks, clothes presses or the li e.-

The invention resides inthe peculiar construction, arrangement and combination of parts as will be more fully hereinafter described and particularly pointed out in the claim.

In certain constructlons of wardrobe trunk or clothes presses the hangers areprovided with bearings for engaging spaced supports as the bars or tracks A B in the trunk C. This construction'of hanger however cannot conveniently be sus ended from the usual arrangement of-hoo s in a closet, but the .closet hooks are best arranged to engage hangers having .a central bearing hook or e e. I have therefore provided a constructron which will permit the hangers to be eitherisupported by spaced bearings or to be suspended by a central hearing. I

The member I is in the form of a heavy fabric or leather strap, or a metal band or the like, preferably a fabric strap, having a central loop forming the bearing J and provided at its opposite ends with gofis K for detachably engaging the hooks By the arrangement before described the hanger may be either suspended by the members G H .from the tracks or spaced supports in a trunk or the like, or converted by means of the strap I into a hanger having va central bearing. Also the member I' is engageable with and detachable from the supporting hooks G H while the garment is upon the hanger. v

hat I claim as my invention is A garment hanger comprising a, garment engaging section, a horizontal section from which said garment engaging section is suspended, spaced bearings adjacent the op posite ends of said horizontal section, and a removable member having a central bearing from which it is adapted to be suspended and having spaced bearing portions for detachably engaging the bearings upon the horizontal section.
