My invention relates to means for supporting and manipulatinga collapsible con-- tainer whereby the contalner is permanently supported in a convenient position and thc contents of the container is discharged as desired.
The object of my invention is to provide a simple, convenient, clean and durable device of the kind described.
To this end my invention consists inthe novel construction, arrangement and combination of parts herein shown and described, and more particularly-pointed out in the claims.

I j I In the drawings the frame of my device consists in the preferred construction shown,
.of a suitably formed sheet of material 1' with its side margins 22 bent at substantially right angles to the body portion, and the end 3 bent at substantially right angles in the opposite direction. The ex7 tremities 4-4 of the parts 2-2 are bent inward to lie in substantially the same plane as the part 3. The parts 4'4 and 3 are formed to jointly operate as a foot or base for my device and are provided with suit able openings 55 and 6 respectively for attaching my device in position by means ofsuitable screws, nails or other fasteners, the several parts forming a rectangular trough .closed at the foot end. The opposite end of the sheet 1 is provided with a part 7 adapted to be bent inward to serve as a partial closure for the outer end of the I trough and the sides 2- 2 are each provided with a projecting part 8, also bent inward and positioned in substantially the same plane and arranged to cooperate with the part 7 to close the end of'the trough'or box. The parts 88 and 7 are each preferably so formed that when in operative position a shght s ace is left open between them with a c rcu ar or otherwise suitably formed aperture 9 formed jointly in their proximate ,edges, adapted to receivea portion of a collapsible container 10 preferably its outlet nozzle 11 and resiliently engage the same and prevent its longitudinal movement.
The outlet end or nozzle 11 preferably projects at the end of the frame,- so that a cap 12 or other suitable closure may be applied to the'outlet to prevent evaporation and loss of the contents of the container. The several parts are preferably so formed that when the cap 12 is screwed down uponthe nozzle 11 the cap will engage the parts :7 and 88 and positively lock the container 1n position upon the holder. Suitable means are also preferably provided to support the opposite end of the container and gradually collapse the same to expel its contents when desired. In the form shown, the sides 22 are each provided with a longitudinal slot 14. A cylindrical key 15 of suitable length to extend across the space between the sides 22 and also through the slots.14 is provided. A longitudinal slot. 16 arranged to receive the end of the container is formed in the key 15 and a head or handle 17 is provided at one extremity of the key so that after a portion of the container is inserted in the slot the key may be manually rotated to wind the container upon the periphery of the key to collapse the container and thereby expel the material contained therein through the outlet nozzle. In the form shown, a roller 18 is also positioned in the space between the sides 2-2 with its shaft at each end projecting through the slots 14 and a suitable spring 19 is arranged near the outer side of each of the sides2 with one end of the spring engaging the key 15 and the opposite end engaging the shaft of the roller 18 and resiliently forcing the roller against the periphery of the key, so that when a container iswound upon the key the roller 18 will press against the same and prevent any of the material with which the container is filled remaining in the collapsed portion. In practice 1t has been found that the container is wound more evenly and smoothly upon the key if resilient means is provided toengage the key and hold the container extended. Where this is desired a yoke 20 is provided, formed to engage the key 15, near its extremities and suitable means are provided to engage the yoke and resiliently draw it toward the foot or base of the frame. Any suitable means may be provided for this purpose, in the form'showna shaft 21 is rigidly mounted upon the frame 1 by means of a hood or yoke 22 and a pedestal or foot 23. A drum 24 is rotatably mounted upon the shaft 21 with a spring 25 or other suitable means resiliently connecting the drum to the shaft. A cord or flexible connection 26 is wound upon the eriphery of the drum with one end exten mg through a suitable opening 27 in the hood22 and with the free end of the cord attached to the yoke 20, the several parts being so proportioned and arranged as to resilielltly draw the yoke toward the drum with the desired force. When thus arranged a ratchet wheel 28 is preferably provided upon the key 15 and a spring actuated dog or pawl 29 is provided upon the yoke 20 arranged to engage the ratchet wheel 28 to prevent the tension of the resilient parts unwindin the key 15 and thereby releasing it from t e container 10.
In Figs. 8 and 9 a simpler form of my device is shown in which a strip of suitable material 30 is bent to form a U shaped frame with the extremities 3131 bent out ward to serve as a base, the part 32 connecting the straight sides of the frame is provided with a threaded opening 33 adapted to engage a threaded outlet nozzle 34 upon the container 35. Slots 36 are provided in the side walls of the frame substantially as before described and a key 37 provided with a slot 38 is arranged to extend across the space between the side walls and through the slots to receive a portion of the container upon its periphery as before described. A part at one end of the key is bent as at 39 to operate as a handle for manually rotating thekey to collapse the container by winding the same upon the periphery of the key.
Having thus described my improvement it is obvious that various immaterial modifications may be made in my device without departing from thespirlt of my invention hence I do not wish to be understood as limiting myself to the exact form or construction shown.
What I claim as new and desire to scour by- Letters Patent is: 1. A device of the kind described, comprising a frame and means rigidly mounted g upon said frame adapted to engage a' collapsible container near its outlet, in combination w1th a. pair of rotatable members mounted upon the frame adapted to engage the opposite end of the container between them to support the same and to gradually collapse said container and resilient means tending normally to maintain said container extended.

A device of the kind described, comprising a frame and a plurality of resilient members ri 'dly mounted upon said frame adapted to ointly engage a collapsible container near its outlet and maintain said outlet in a. conveniently accessible position, in combination with rotatable mechanism upon said frame adapted to engage the opposite end of the container to support the same,
and means for manually operating said engaging mechanism to gradually collapse said container.

A device of the kind described, comprising a frame and a plurality. of members rigidly mounted upon said frame adapted to jointly engage a collapsible container near its putlet and maintain said outlet in 8.
