The Schedule referred to in these Letters Patentan making part of the same.
To all lwhom it may concern:
Be it known that I, OORYDON WHEAT, of Geneva, in the county of Ontario and State of New York, have invented a new and useful Improvement in Skates; and I do hereby declare that the following yis a full, clear, and exact description thereof', which will enable others skilled in the art to make and vuse the same, reference being had to the accompanying gdrawing forming part of this specification, in which- Y Figure l represents a side view of my improved skate.

By this construction the necessity of securing the ends of straps to the skate is avoided, and the consequent strain and wearupon the strap done away with.
The heel-screw or pin fis arranged on the plate B in the-usual manner, while adjustable toe-screws g are or may be secured to the toe-plate. 1

I claim as new anddesire to secure by Letters As an article of manufacture, the continuous skate-' runner A, formed with two or more separate bearing-surfaces al a, by bending the same'upward, as shown and described. Witnesses: OORYDON-WHEAT.
