It will be seen from each of these drawings that the cooling coils are so positioned as to receive the heated solution and by cooling it to promote the desired circulation. The anodes with their plates are preferably constructed so as to be mo'ved, withdrawn and replaced en bloc as is also the cathode and coil shown in Fig. 3.
The operations of the apparatus will beapparent to any person conversant with the manufacture of bleaching solution by elec trolytic apparatus who will observe thatthe gas from thecathode cannot possibly enter the tank in which the anodes are arranged but will pass upwardly and escape into the atmosphere while the caustic sodav formed in the same tank will, when required, pass into the anode tank and because of the circulation of the liquid therein will be diflfused around the lower ends of the anodes and drawn upwardly between them and the deflecting plates, while the level of the liquid is maintained byme'ans of the opening h or the pipe-7c. When the bleaching solution in the anode tank is of required strength the electric cur-J rent is shut off and'the tap g or"5"as,.the. case may be, is shut of so that the liquid in the anode tank can be drawn away and used as required. v
