Another object of the invention is to provide a brush having a paint brush guard thereon and ahook for suspending the brush within the'bucket so that the paint accumulated in the guard may be drained into the bucket.
It will be understood that the hook may be also used for suspending the brush, in water when not in use.
Another object of the invention is to provide a guard constructed of a single piece of malleable material which is formed from a flat blank of material and has its ends brought together aroiind the blank which serves to incline the sides thereof and form with-the sides-of the brush a paint receptacle "adapted to receive the paint runningdown from the bristles.
Further objects of the invention will ap I pear as the following description is read in connection with the accompanying drawing,

Referring more particularly to tl e drawing, 1|represents an ordinary brush head to which is attached the handle2 and a bristle holding casing; as is usual. Mounted upon the head isa paint guard which is .constructed, as shown-in Fig. 3, of a Hat blank of malleable metal substantially Vrshape in outline and having the terminals of its respective legs turned inwardly at 4. The legs each have inwardly projecting cars which,
when the guard is bent into the form shown in Figs. 1 and 2, are adapted to form attaching means for connecting the guard to the brush head.
Secured to the brush head in an suitable manner and (preferably between -t e handle and the guar is a hook 5 by which the brush may be suspended in the bucket so as to drain the guard, as will be readily understood.
What is claimed is .A blank for forming'a paint brush ard comprising a flat piece of metal su stantially V-shape in outline and havin the terminals ofitsle s inwardlyturne and an inwardly exten mg ear formed on each leg.
