To all whom it may concern:
Be it known that I, ANTON REZNICEK, a citizen of the United States, residing at Jersey City, Hudson county, New Jersey, have invented a new and useful Key-Carrier, of which the following is a specification.
My invention relates to improvementsdn key carriers in which the keys are secure within a protective outer casing and the objects ot-my invention are to produce a small, neat and cheaply constructed carrier in which the keys will be separated, will be protected from the moisture of the body and will not wear holes in the pockets.
Figure 1 is a view f my key carrier open for use; Fig. 2 a view of the same closed, with the front broken away for (-learness of illustration; and Fig. 3 a. view of the key retaining and securing means.
A case 1 of leather or any other suitable material of the desired size and shape is preferably provided with a flap 2 and a fastening device 3. In this case the flexible key retainers 4, 4 .4 are secured and they are slightly longer than the front of the case so that the keys will be fully exposed and outside the case-,when in use. In the embodiment shown the retainers are of chain with key rings at one end. A spring wire frame is formed with sides 5, 5 and a top 6, the lower ends of the sides 5 being bent outwardly to form prongs 7 7. which engage the inside edges of the case 1 to prevent withdrawal of the frame and keys from the case. The top 6 Figs. 2 and 3 so that the chains will not come against the extreme end of the case and cause bulging.
In use the keys are fastened to the rings, dropped into the case and the flaps closed. \Vhen the keys are to be used the flap is opened and the keys dropped out by squeezing the side edges of the case. The spring frame 5, 5, 6 brings the case 1 back to a flat condition when the pressure is removed.
I claim 1- A key carrier composed of an outer case open at one end, a. flap covering said opening, a spring frame therein composed of sides and a top, the top being inset so. as to be spaced from the end of the case, fitting closely within the being embedded in the inner edges of the. sides of the outer case. flexible key retaining means secured to the inset top of the frame ANTON REZNICEK.

is dropped as shown in case, the ends of the sides and key attaching means at the free ends
