Our invention has for its object to provide an improved sanitary fitting especially adapted to be interposed in the main soil stack. This fitting is so arranged that the waste pipes discharging therein from lavatories, bath tubs, and the like, may be placed within the wall partition just back of the ;-,the claims.

For the purpose of showing the proper location of our invention, with respect to the bath room furnishings, a portion of a bath room has been illustrated. Within the bath room, is mounted the closet 4, lavatory 5, and bath tub 6, and which furnishings may be ofany desired make or construction. Placed within the wall 2 is the customary main soil stack 7. Interposed between certain sections of the main stack'7, and constituting a part thereof, is our improved fitting. In the drawings, this fitting the numeral 8 indicates a vertically extended body portion which forms a part of the stack 7. This body portion 8 is so arranged the stack 7, that its upper end or hub per- 0 tron extends slightly above the floor l. Just below the floor 1, the body portion 8- is provided with an integrally formed, laterally extended, pipe extension 9 having a'bub portion 10 adapted toreceive the discharge end of a waste pipe 11 from the closet a. Integrally formed with the body portion 8, and on opposite sides thereof, is a pair of oppositely extended bends 12 terminating at their tree or receiving ends in hubs 13. These bends 12 extend at right angles to the pipe section 9 and their lower or discharge ends open into the body portion 8 at diametrically opposite points and in substantially the same horizontal plane with the discharge end of away from the stack 7 until their hub ends 13 extend in a horizontal direction and rest uponthe floor 1 between the Walls of the partition 2, as best shown in Fig. 3. The hubs 13 of the bends 19. are adapted to receive the discharge ends of waste pipes 14. The waste pipes 14: are located between the walls of the partition 2 and justback of the base board 8. Each bend 12 is provided, adjacent to its hub 13, with an integrally formed clean-out 15. These clean-outs 15 extend laterally and horizontally from the bend 12 and are of such length as to project slightly through the base board 3, as best shown in Fig. 2. The outer ends of these clean-outs 15 are normally closed by means of nut caps 16 having screw threaded engagement therewith. Each nut cap 16 is provided with an integrally formed annular flange 17 adapted to cover the opening of the base board 3 surrounding the clean-out 15. By reference to Fig. 2, it will be noted that the clean-outs 15, on their vertical sides, are connected tothe bends 12 by flat curves. This makes it comparatively easy to insert a wire into-the clean-outs 15 and push the same through the bends 12, either toward the stack 7, orinto the waste pipe 14-.
