Be it known that I, SHIRLEY THOMAS, a citizen of the United States, residing at Marion. in the county of Grant and State of Indiana, have invented new and useful Improvements in Cash-Boxes, of which the following is a specification.
This invention relates to cash boxes and the object of the invention is to provide a simple and cheaply constructed device which may be conveniently attached and may be conveniently secured within mail boxes or like receptacles and which is particularly adapted for use in connection with rural delivery mail boxes where it is desirable to place money in the box for stamps, money orders, and other articles, and will make the the same accessible to the mail carrier.
Further objects of this invention will appear as the following specific description is read in connection with the accompanying drawing, which forms a part of this application, and in which:-
Figure 1 is an elevation showing the device attached between the ends of a mail box. Fig. 2 is an end elevation of the same. Fig. 3 is a perspective view of the receptacle removed from the casing. Fig. 4 is a top plan parts broken away.
Referring more particularly to the drawing, 1 represents a casing which is open at nipulating knob 11 and the lid is provided with a spring catch 12 ada ted to engage the knob so as to hold the lid in closed position.
